Selective breeding quality

Our small home cattery focuses primarily on producing wonderful pets, but not very often we offer exceptional kittens or young adults for serious breeding programs and cat shows. These special babies come from our best lines with outstanding type, health, and temperament that can improve future generations of Devon Rex cats.

Every breeding-quality kitten receives full registration papers, show potential evaluation, and detailed genetic information including inbreeding coefficients and known health clearances from both parents. We work only with responsible breeders who share our commitment to health testing, ethical practices, and breed improvement.

Health and genetic testing

All cats in our cattery are under regular veterinary supervision: they visit the doctor for routine checkups, vaccinations, and preventive care, and we perform all tests and laboratory analyses required for responsible cattery management. This includes screening for infectious diseases, monitoring overall health, and following modern veterinary recommendations for breeding cats.

Breeding cats used in our program also undergo genetic testing and additional examinations when needed to reduce the risk of hereditary diseases and ensure the health of future generations. We carefully plan matings to maintain genetic diversity while improving type, coat quality, and temperament.

Breeding cats live as family members in our home, not in cages. They receive daily care including specialized nutrition, regular grooming, nail trims, ear cleaning, and veterinary preventive care. This home environment produces cats with excellent socialization and stable temperaments suitable for both breeding and showing.

Show success and titles

Several of our adult cats have earned high titles at international cat shows including Champion and Grand Champion levels. Show results help us identify the best individuals for breeding and ensure we maintain the Devon Rex standard for large expressive ears, wavy coat, and elf-like appearance.

Kittens offered for breeding programs often have show potential and come with evaluation notes from experienced judges when available. We provide full show history of parents and close relatives to help new breeders understand the genetic potential they are receiving.

While our cats and their offspring can successfully participate in cat shows, we cannot guarantee any specific results, titles, or wins for animals purchased from our cattery. Show outcomes always depend on judges’ opinions, competition level, and many factors beyond any breeder’s control.

Breeding contract requirements

Serious breeders receive kittens with breeding rights under strict contract terms including health testing requirements for future breedings, regular health updates reporting, and agreement to spay/neuter if breeding plans change. We maintain lifetime support and require offspring registration when the kitten produces litters.
